Christmas doesn't come every day!!This gentleman came to see me just a couple weeks ago, referred by a internist because he has a skin cancer, a basal cell carcinoma, on his chest that he needs to have removed completely. He is quite a character, and I couldn't help but notice that he has a lot of sun damage, and many comedones (blackheads and whiteheads). He used to be a fireman (I think in Indiana), one of his many jobs in his life, and he was raised on a farm. The years of sun exposure and also exposure to soot from fires, have likely caused him to develop quite a few blackheads and whiteheads. He doesn't like them, and has tried to squeeze them out, but hasn't even very successful.As we were finishing up our visit, I decided I would ask him whether he knew he had a lot of blackheads on his face, and whether he would like me to remove them? His response was great: "I would walk through a wall of fire if you could do that for me!" Always amazes me how interested my patients are in me getting rid of such things. Makes it all worthwhile! I realize I didn't extract all of his blackheads, but he is a work in progress! We will be seeing him at least two more times and will do further blackhead extractions. - Kiến thức về mụn-

Chắc hẳn với chúng ta, chẳng còn xa lạ gì khi nhắc tới mụn nữa, “vị khách không mời mà đến” là nỗi ám ảnh của hầu hết mọi lứa tuổi. Mỗi khi nhìn nhẹ vào gương, hay vô thức chạm tay lên mặt, các bạn chỉ muốn nặn chúng đi ngay lập tức phải không nào? Nhưng thực tế có rất nhiều luồn ý kiến trái chiều khác nhau “có nên nặn mụn không?”, để làm sáng tỏ câu hỏi này thì mời bạn cùng theo dõi thông tin chi tiết sau đây.
Trước tiên, các bạn phải hiểu rõ tuỳ vào từng loại mụn chúng ta sẽ có thể lấy nhân mụn hay không. Nặn mụn là việc chúng ta dùng một tác động lực bên ngoài để đẩy nhân mụn gồm hỗn hợp bã nhờn, bụi bẩn, dầu thừa gây tắt nghẽn lỗ chân lông ra ngoài.
Tuy nhiên, Chúng ta không nên tự ý nặn mụn vì sẽ phá vỡ cấu trúc da và gây ra nhiều vấn đề nghiêm trọng như:
+ Khi bạn dung tay để đè con mụn ra không đúng cách là bạn đang cố gắng đẩy nhân mụn gồm: vi khuẩn, dầu, bã nhờn của mụn ra ngoài, bạn đang thật sự đang “xé toạt” da của mình. Do đó, đây không phải cách “hay ho” gì, dừng lại hành động này lại nhé.
+ Thay vì giúp da hồi phục nhanh chóng, việc nặn mụn có thể ép vi khuẩn, bã nhờn chui sâu hơn vào da, dẫn đến đốm mụn sưng to và nhiễm trùng.
+ Mụn gia tăng nhiều hơn, lây lan diện rộng đến các khu vực lân cận của da khác.
+ Việc nặn mụn có thể làm tăng nguy cơ hình thành sẹo mụn, những vết sẹo này rất khó điều trị một khi đã hình thành.
Tự ý nặn mụn là điều rất nguy hiểm. Do đó, bạn có thể nặn mụn nhưng việc lấy nhân mụn chỉ thực sự có hiệu quả khi bạn được điều trị tại địa chỉ uy tín, tay nghề chuyên gia có kinh nghiệm, nếu kĩ thuật không chính xác thì chẳng khác nào “châm thêm dầu vào lửa”. Khi được lấy ra đúng cách, da của bạn sẽ được phục hồi một cách đáng kể
