There are many different kinds of cysts, almost all of which are benign and do not require medical intervention unless they rupture, become infected, are very large, or are painful.

This was a hot mess. I feel that with a larger incision--not even very much larger--the physician would have been able to remove the sac quite easily instead of breaking it up and hoping you get it all out.
