Cyst Extraction Part 1 Privat

This is a short video that we recorded on a African American patient that needed to have a cyst drained.

The best course of action to drain a cyst is to have the sac removed by a licensed dermatologist, but she did not want that procedure done at this time. As you know, I am not allowed to make an incision that may need stitches. It's out of the scope of practice. This video is part 1 of a two part process. A second video will be coming soon! I stopped extracting this cyst so that my patient would not get a post inflammatory condition. I will follow up with them in 2 weeks from now.

Finally, we used a phone to record this video as my wonderful assistant Yary was on vacation at the time. 😉
